Solid Wood Strips Assembled into a Stable Core Panel
Barecore, also known as Lumber Core, is a wood-based panel made by joining small solid-wood strips side by side. The individual strips form the central structure of the panel and provide a practical, lightweight core for further processing.
Barecore is primarily used as the core material for blockboard. After production, the barecore can be laminated with face and back veneers or other surface materials to manufacture finished panels for furniture, doors, interior components and other wood products.
Albasia Falcata (Sengon) is one of the principal materials used for Indonesian Barecore because of its relatively low density, workability and suitability for panel manufacturing. Other wood species can also be produced according to the customer's technical requirements.
Our production is based on customer order. Buyers may specify the required species, panel dimensions, thickness, glue system, emission requirement and quality grade before production.
Designed as a Core Material for Further Wood Processing
Barecore is not a finished decorative panel. It is manufactured as a solid-wood core component that can subsequently be laminated, veneered or incorporated into other engineered wood products.
Butt-Jointed Wood Staves
Small solid-wood pieces are arranged side by side and joined to form a continuous panel. The controlled arrangement of individual strips creates a practical core structure for blockboard production and other secondary processing.
Multi-Core Configurations
Core construction can be supplied in 1-, 2- or 3-core configurations. Other constructions can be discussed according to the customer's production process and required finished-panel structure.

HS Code Reference
HS 4421.99.96 — Barecore of wood other than bamboo under the Indonesian tariff classification. The exact customs classification should be confirmed against the destination country's tariff schedule and the final product construction before shipment.
Available Wood Species
Albasia Falcata is a major material for Indonesian Barecore production, while alternative species can be manufactured according to the required density, appearance, processing characteristics and end-use application.

Barecore Grade Standards
Grade selection is based on the visual condition and allowable defects of the individual wood strips and completed core panel. The final grade requirements should be confirmed with the customer before production.
Higher Visual Selection
Live knots are acceptable. Dead knots are not accepted. No through loose knots. Center pith is accepted below the specified limit. Butt-joint gaps below 2 mm are acceptable. Limited water stain, pinholes and slight surface irregularity may be accepted under the specified conditions. Decay, honeycomb and wormholes are not accepted.
A Grade with Additional Knot Allowance
The principal requirements follow A Grade, while dead knots are permitted within the agreed grading criteria. Center pith allowance is controlled according to the agreed production specification.
Standard Commercial Grade
Live and dead knots are accepted. Putty and wood inserts may be used where required. Greater allowances are permitted for butt-joint gaps, wane, splits and peeled areas. Water stain and pinholes may be accepted within the defined limits. Decay, honeycomb and wormholes are not accepted.
Utility / Processing Grade
C Grade permits a wider range of natural wood characteristics and manufacturing defects, including dead knots, honeycomb, wormholes, wane, splits and peeled areas. This grade is intended for applications where the barecore will undergo further processing or where visual appearance is not the primary requirement.

Barecore is primarily supplied as a semi-finished core material for manufacturers that apply veneers, laminates or other surface materials during subsequent production.
Used as the central solid-wood core between face and back veneers in blockboard manufacturing.
Used for door-related components and engineered wood constructions where a solid wood core is required.
Further processed and covered with veneers or other decorative materials for furniture manufacturing.
Suitable as a semi-finished material for manufacturers producing customized wood panels and components.
Manufactured According to Customer Order
We do not limit production to one fixed Barecore configuration. The manufacturing specification can be established according to the customer's downstream production requirements.
Specify Falcata, Jabon, Meranti, Balsa, Merbau, Pine or another requested species. The suitability of alternative species can be discussed according to the intended application.
Customers can specify thickness, board size, core construction, grade, moisture requirement, glue system and emission class before production.
Production is organized around the confirmed customer specification so the Barecore can be supplied as a suitable raw material for the buyer's subsequent manufacturing process.
